Hello everyone.
I am so excited I found mfp. I have PCOS and unfortunatly I feel like it has been a huge burden for me. I am tired of being on the weight loss rollercoster. it seems like I take 1 step forward and 3 steps back. The thing is I do not want to fall off the band wagon and I want to make friends that will motivate me all the way. I hope to finally reach my goal weight and feel pretty.

If anyone has PCOS and know what I'm going through I would love to hear your success stories and the things that have helped to make the weight loss trip easier.

  • I also have PCOS!!! After years of struggling, I am 47 and have had a hysterectomy and both my ovaries removed! It has made my Thyroid go crazy and now I am on synthroid! I also have other issues, but I decided to fight it and not by into it all the medical bs any longer!!! I have been reading a lot lately on organic diets and how our diets affect our bodies. I suggest you ready Jillian Michaels new book and read Skinny *****! Processed foods really play a lot into PCOS and womens health issues!!! I also decided to get a lap band, not because I ate huge amounts of food but I found that I had to cut my calories down from 1700 a day to 1000 a day (even with exercise) and this is a tool that helps me do that!!! I love MFP there are lots of people on here for support. Good luck!!!
