It don't matter if there was a 100, we are so broke this year that Christmas will be pretty slim on the present side. But we will be with our family and that is what really maters. I sure wish my house would sell, that would help things out a lot.

Hand made quilt or blanket would be a nice gift, for goodies you could put some non-melting candy.

Boxes usually got to me within about 7 days but I was at a big base, if he's at an outlying post, it might take longer. I got homemade cookies a couple of times and they always held up just fine. Just make sure you pack them well so they're not crumbs when they get there :)

I am sending a blanket this week in his Thanksgiving box.

    I also have a tiny tree to decorate....and he'll get a stocking.

I am getting some photos with my kiddo....
I was thinking of doing some....special...classy retro pin up pics this spring/summer (depending on weight loss) for before he comes home. Too much? Weird? I am close to talking myself out of it.

Hmmm. A photo of you dressed up for Christmas and other photos from home, a t-shirt with his favorite sports team, a phone card, a homemade bookmarker, a couple of magazines...I'll keep thinking and let you know if any more ideas come up.

He isn't allowed to have any civilian clothes, at least not at this time.
I HATE pics, but I am sucking it up and doing it for him....
He isn't really into sports much....
He likes guns...but that wouldn't go over well.

    Happy Thursday!

Luckily my daughter is only going to be 3 1/2 months by Christmas so my husband I decided to just get her a toy and an outfit this year. We're just going to buy a new camera as our gift to each other. So all we have to shop for is our niece and nephew. So I can procrastinate for a couple more weeks.
