Help with easing into exercising?

Heya
So it's been years (about 4 and a half to be precise) since I've done what I'd consider any "real" exercise. That was the last time I had to take a gym class in school, heh.
I can't join a gym due to lack of funds and because I'm unable to actually get to a gym. So does anybody have any advice on how I can ease back into some sort of physical activity without overdoing it? I try to do a bit of walking, but I think I need to step that up a notch.
Any advice is definitely appreciated! Thanks!

I haven't exercised since junior high (I'll be 24 in a week and I'm ~252)... I started Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred... the first 2 days I couldnt get all the way through it.... it's actually not that hard, you do 2 minutes of cardio then 2 minutes of strength (which gives you sort of a break from the cardio.... but if you don't want to do that, do any mix of strength and cardio that you enjoy... improving your muscle helps burn more calories when you do cardio, so it's kinda nice you don't have to kill yourself on cardio for several minutes on end0

Walking is great. Download a pedometer app on your iPhone or smartphone and start walking! Build up your time and speed gradually. If you save some money and have the space I highly recommend a treadmill for those rainy days. If not, an exercise DVD like others have mentioned sounds great. Anything is better than nothing! No excuses!0

try going to some yard sales or flea market/swap meets....see if you can locate some cheap DVD's to use.
Go to Target/walmart maybe buy yourself some dumbells 3-5lbs
What do you like to do? if you were able to do any sport what would it be? I love to play soccer, I run a adult league here in Georgia, I tell many adults to come play and have fun, its a great exercise that I LOVE to do.
I say, Do some serious walking, bring it up to a light jog here and there, try to run a mile. Make yourself a goal... a 5K (3.1 miles)at christmas time per say, sign up for it, pay the funds...the go for it, work towards it.
Add a little strength training to it, don't worry you won't bulk up, dosnt work that way.
Also you will be sore, that is your muscles recovering, eat better, drink a TON of water, exercise and switch up your work out routines, set a goal and go for it.
Nothing, and I mean Nothing is impossible!!0
