Good Running Shoe for Working Out on Carpet?

Hi Everyone. My workout area for doing my Turbo Fire work outs is in my basement, but it's a finished basement with thick carpet. I am finding the Adidas shoes I have aren't good because they have a thick tread and it's hard to pivot on the balls of my feet. I have horrible knees to begin with, I'm afraid of making them worse! Does anyone have a good low tread shoe that they can recommend? I figure I'll take the list to the store and try out what works best for my foot.

Thanks!

HI, good post, I was just wondering today while doing Fire 55 what would be a good shoe to pivot in, while doing this on carpet. I know what's NOT a good shoe to do this in- Nike Shox. Mine have too much tread on them, and I couldn't pivot. My Reebok walking shoes are pretty worn down, and they were better, but then I worry about support. If anyone has a great shoe to pivot on carpet, Do Tell! I even resorted to "pledging" the bottoms of my shoes, to no avail, but the basement smelled pretty good after!
