HOW LONG DID YOUR PLATEAU LAST?

I know I need to be patient, but I'm going on 3 weeks and only about 10 pounds from my goal. I've changed some stuff around so I'm confident it will change soon. I've had other plateaus and they lasted like a week or two. This one is longer, which I kind of expected because after looking around online, I see what your body goes through as you lose weight, like absorbtion of uneeded tendons, etc. I was just curious how long other people's longest plateaus lasted and what you did to end it, other than patience?

I had one for 4 months... floating around 160 (25 pounds from my goal). I broke it starting Jillian Michaels, eating 98% clean, reducing the amount of time I go out to eat, and kicking the protein up a bit. I think its important to play around with different parts of your life style to see which ones can help break your plateau.
It won't last forever! Just try to continue doing the right things and it will all turn out well. I just broke mine last week, and I dropped 3 pounds. I think my body was just ready for the change!0 -

Maybe a cleanse would help?
It worked for me, I was moving along at a slugs pace through May / June, 1 with a 1lb loss in June. Started cleanse and lean this month, and have lost 7lbs in July.
And ew, had no idea absorption happened!0 -

Yeah what do u mean?? I'm at a 3 week plat at 151 and it's so flaming annoying so I need to know what u mean? Where did you see what the body goes thru to loose, I need to see this too...???0 -
I'm halfway to goal (lost 25 / 50), and my last plateau lasted about 6 weeks. This week, I just posted a loss of 2 pounds -- we'll see if that holds.
I just stayed patient, and this week, I ended up eating a little more than usual. I had gone out to dinner with a friend one night and then just felt hungry the rest of the week. I didn't go WAY overboard and tried to eat healthy snacks, but I listened to my body and gave it some fuel.0 -

well for me it's been at least a YEAR. Crazy... i am only 7-8 pounds from my goal and cannot seem to shed the weight. trying out a BodyMedia Fit gadget and am amazed at my daily calorie burns. the calorie deficit that i am seeing is likely the reason for the plateau (1300-1500 a day), as i need to be much closer to my burn calorie wise...i know. it's just tough and slow going for me to eat that much. anyhow, good luck with your goals!0

When you're overweight, you're body produces additional tendons to support the weight. When you lose weight, obviously your body doesn't need them anymore and reabsorbs them.0
