I am always watching the food network or other cooking shows. I like Emeril's new show- Fresh Food Fast. I am not a fan of him but watching him use all of the fresh ingredients is actually inspiring.

Also, it is not on the Food Network, but my newest favorite cooking show to watch is Mad Hungry with Lucinda Scala Quinn. She actually makes food that my family and I would eat and for the most part I think her dishes are on the heatlhier side.

Cupcake Wars is just plain dangerous. I crave cupcakes for days!! (But I stil watch it... )

And Chopped is probably my favorite! My husband makes fun of me about "playing Chopped' when I start making up a meal with whatever I have in the kitchen!

Glad to see that I am not the only cooking show junkie around here!!

Paula makes some great dishes, but OMG! I can't stand when she talks about having a healthy vegetable, then she puts all that butter and cream in it. If you're going to cook like that, don't delude yourself into thinking it's healthy. I'll watch her SAY she's putting in two tablespoons of butter into something but actually see her put half the stick in. Then a little later, she'll throw in another pat. umm, be honest, Paula! It's fine to cook like that, but be honest about how much you're putting in.

LOL!! I could just picture her doing something like that too.

My favorite show is the Iron Chef. The Japanese host really cracks me up. I love to drool over their fabulously awesome kitchens too. I always wonder what it would be like to cook in one of those kitchens....similar to the way some people wonder what it's like to drive a Formula 1 racer or an Aston Martin.

I'm always amazed at how creative the competitors are with their dishes... They look pieces of art. If I were a judge (wow, talk about a dream come true), I would feel bad digging into one of those dishes that were so thoughtfully created.

Why? I quite like their shows. Rachael more so than Sandra.

I love Food Network, especially the competition shows like chopped and cupcake wars. My hubby and I say it's porn for the overweight lol

  "Porn for the overweight"! Bwahahahahaha! Love that!

I love the competition shows too!! Oh and Bobby Flay's "Throwdown" ... especially when he LOOSES! Hahahaha!

The Food Network and Travel Channel have been banned from my television watching. I don't see how some people at the gym can be on the treadmill watching Paula Deen. I love her, but her food is full of stuff that is not so good for us. :( And of course I LOVE Guy Fieri and DDD. Watching these channels make me hungry and I just can't risk a slip up in addition to my cheat day. I've come this far and I'm NOT going back!

My husband loves to watch "Triple D" (Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives). It always makes me so hungry! I wish there were more healthy cooking shows, like Ellie Krieger.

Gyu came to a dive near my house on DDD that my family has been going to for years! When I was a kidm I never saw any problem with the food. But seeing the behind the scenes and counting my calories now, I can believe how I've become so overweight lol. Damn you chicken finger subs!

Ugh, I can't stand Rachel Ray, she has absolutely no idea what she's talking about when it comes to food knowledge.

My favorite shows are Good Eats, Triple D, and Iron Chef America on Food Network, and The Minimalist on Cooking Channel.

My family has a good laugh when I'm working out and watching "Cupcake Wars" or some other cooking show! For some reason it is a vicarious thrill for me.

I love Cupcake Wars. I also love the cake/sugar/chocolate building contests they have... they're usually themed.. could watch all day.

I hate, hate, hate Paula Dean. Her accent drives me crazy. I'm from Alabama (recent transplant to Ohio), and I worked long and hard to get rid of that godawful accent. Eww.

Also can't stand Rachael Ray or Bobby Flay. Anyway ...

I love the Food Network. It's seriously like naughty porn for my tummy haha

I agree about DDD. So much yummy looking stuff on there. I do like a lot of the shows on FN and have gotten some great recipe ideas (Guy's Big Bite is where I found my favorite veggie burger recipe) with a little creativity you can alter the recipes for some fairly diet safe fare. Wish there were more vegetarian programs though.
