Follow up to Exercise Calories

Hi,

Last week I posted that since I was hearing different things regarding consuming calories burned during exercise I would try an experiment, so my conclusion from this week is;

A) I ate half the calories I burned during exercise.
B) I exercised 6 out of 7 days and made healthy choices with my food.

So,

Subjectively:
- I felt I had more energy.
- I was able to push myself harder at the gym.
- I was not thinking of food any time during the day.

Objectively:
- I lost 2.8 pounds this week eating half my exercise calories burned as opposed to last week when I only lost 2 pounds not eating any of my exercise calories burned.
- I had the energy to burn an average of 900 calories per day of exercise

In conclusion I like eating :) and calories provide me with the fuel to burn more calories so if it's going to give me more energy and help me loose weight faster then I will stick with eating half my cals from exercise, healthy choices of course.

Anyways, those are my results. Best.

    Thank you for sharing this. I am nearing my goal now and have been thinking of upping my calorie intake. At the moment, I rarely even reach the 1200 mark let alone eating back my exercise calories! This has given me some hope...
