Best Laid Plans

I had such a nice lunch planned: black bean salad with quinoa and broccoli. My daughter & I spent all morning getting ready for VBS, at the farmer's market, and grocery shopping. I don't want to cook anything, even something as simple as black bean salad. My husband stood firm with our younger daughter against getting fast food for lunch, but right now that's exactly what I want!

I guess I'll make myself a sandwich instead--that's pretty much zero effort.

What do you do when your plans just don't sound appetizing?

    I usually just suck it up too, so good for you for not giving in to fast food!

    Spice it up.. or snack on healthy snacks that I love to eat instead of eating a pre planned meal.. I just keep count of the calories :happy:

    I ended up making myself a lettuce wrap with turkey, tomatoes, red onion, avocado, cheese, Dijon mustard and light mayo. About 350 calories, and it really did a number on my fat & sodium, but it's still better than Burger King would have been!

    Now--what to have for dinner? :laugh:
