Hey there ~ I'm a newbie here and LOVE IT! I just took a 3.21 mile walk full of hills using my Nike IPOD chip. It said I burned 426... do you think that sounds right? Do hills increase the amount burned? Thanks MFP's Enjoy the weekend :drinker:

Yeah, I'd be interested in what others have to say because my Nike+ always says I've burned about 100kcal more than MFP predicts I have???

i use the nike chip also for my walks and runs did u calibrate it for your weight height sex etc then walk the 0.40k so it knows ur normal walking/running stride if you done this then its prob not to far off most only things better to use i think are heart moniters tha track calories but no many cheap options there hope this helps

I have it for my iPhone and the only thing it asks for is my sex and weight. When I turn it on, it only required I walk for a few ssconds before it's calibrated, but I only walk around the house, which wouldn't be as strenuous as my actual workout?
