Ok, MFP friends, I made a homemade pizza today with homemade sauce. The only thing is I still feel my pizza crust is high in calories. But, making it in our breadmaker is picky as far as ingredients. Anyone have any recommendations other than using whole wheat bread flour? Or, is this pretty much as good as it gets?

just make sure its very thin, my favourite way to make home made pizzas is with tortillas. they are quite low calorie

I make homemade pizza too. The dough will always be high in calories since it is mainly flour, and flour is high in calories. I just budget calories for it and don't eat it as often as I used to.

Like PP, I use tortillas. I use a high fiber, low carb one and it is great.

Thank you all for your input!!! The tortilla's sound like a plan. I'm originally from Chicago so not having a good crust is almost a sin for me. ;-) Thinning it out sounds like an idea which might be a good first "baby step." Thanks again!
