My 1st NSV!

One of my regular customers, who I haven't seen in a long while came in this morning to get his paper. I was ringing him up, when all of a sudden he smiled and said, "You've lost some weight, haven't you?" Trying not to beam, I smiled and replied, "Yes, a little bit." As he smiled once more he said, "Well, you look really good," before turning to be on his way. I won't lie, I was grinning from ear to ear. In fact, I was beaming and in a wonderful mood for the rest of the day. This sweet old man couldn't know what his simple observation meant to me, but it has inspired me and given me hope, that maybe the rest of the world, the less observant folks, will begin to notice a difference soon too!

that is great..i agree with you. people don't really understand how much those few words not only will brighten you day but keep you motivated. good for you

So wonderful to hear your NSV. It's so nice to know that people see a difference isn't it? It's even better when they are kind enough to pay you such a nice compliment. You're right...words of encouragement go a long way. Keep up your good work because it really does pay off in the end!

Good for you! Seems like when you get close to the 10 lb mark - people do really start to notice! But I notice it way before that - and that motivates me, too. :bigsmile:
