30 DS combined with other cardio?

I just bought the 30 DS because I heard it was an amazing workout. It hasn't arrived yet. But basically, I was wondering if it'd be a good idea/okay for me to do the 30 DS workout plus more cardio at the gym. I really don't have anything to do as a college kid during my summer break until school starts. Could it be detrimental to me?

Also, I'm a bit intimidated by the 30 DS workout itself. I don't know if I can do it. Is it as extreme as everyone portrays it to be? Thanks! :happy:

    Definitely do more cardio.

    I've been doing 30 DS and still running... You might be weak the first few days of each level. I was weak up until day 4 on level 2. But just stick with it. It'll get back to ya!

    I was intimidated about the 30DS as well. it was my first real workout regime.
    The first 4 days were the hardest, but now it's day 8 and I abortively love it. I can't go a day without doing it.
    My DVD player stopped working today and I freaked OUT because I wasn't going to be able to do my workout, thankfully my sister let me use her laptop.

    Everything I have read by others who got amazing results did add in 30 more minutes of cardio. I have already done it once and got little results but I was eating more than mfp said I should and only doing 30DS, I have since finished Ripped in 30 and started 6 week 6 pack. I decided yesterday I am starting over with 30DS and adding in more cardio with mfp calories I should get better results :) Since redoing Shred level 1 is sooo easy now and I am shocked I thought it was difficult before lol you'll see it gets easier!!!
