Hey, I picked up a heart rate monitor, after some suggestions from people around here, for more accurate calorie counting and stuff during workouts and all that.
My question to anyone with the Sportline SX, HRM, is this. Where the hell do you actually SEE the calories burnt aspect of it? I entered in all of my age, weight height and all that. Im hoping someone out there can shed a light on it for me here. Would be much appreciated

I have a different Sportline model, so it might be different on yours, but I have to hit the MODE button until it says EXERCISE on the top, then I have to hold in the MODE button until it displays kcal (mine displays on the very bottom).

I had a sportline, I returned it. It doesn't keep good track of calories burned...because it only picks up when you tell it to, then averages.0

Yeah I'm just kind of confused, like this has the chest strap and everything but the book is so vague. I assume that with the chest strap it will continuously track the calories and stuff but like... seriously? The book sucks V_v this was like 70 bucks too and since I dont really have the luxury of buying online, stores are kinda my best option. I wanna give it a chance but this is just so confusing @_@0

I have the Sportline. .. You use the mode and reset button to get to the calories burned. .. It can be a bit tricky. . but once you are used to it, it is a piece of cake. . You have your book right?0

Yeah I have the book. I am wondering what the hecks going on, I'm on the screen with "281hC" on top and 72 on the bottom, the 72 keeps going up for some reason and I havent even worked out with this watch on yet. =/ and 281 just went up too. Im SO CONFUSED haha.
I am slowly going crazy. This thing keeps adding up laps and stuff too and I have not even programmed it for that V_V!0 -
I'd return it and get a Polar. For that same 70 dollars, you can get an FT4or FT7 and save you're self the big headache of trying to figure it out.
Plus from what I've read Sportline doesn't use Vo2max and thats important if you want an accurate calorie count.0
