sockarooni recipie?

hey everyone, tonight i tried newman's own sockarooni pasta sauce, and i love it! its fairly chunky with tomatos, peppers and garlic. i was wondering if anyone has a recipe for this or something similar. My mom's tomatoes will be turning fairly soon and i usually have her can me some kind of sauce for the year, and would like to give this a try. i made my own marinara sauce last year (or at least tried to) but it tasted like salsa. lol. i just really want a good sauce recipe :)

    I use whole stewed tomatoes, italian spice, minced garlic, parmasean cheese, onion powder, parsley flakes and on occasions I throw in some Mushrooms and Turkey breakfast sausage.

    I never measure but I keep tasting it to see what else It needs.. My family loves it! :love:

    that sounds good :) do you can it or just make it fresh? also it it fairly watery, my mom's spaghetti sauce is always runny.
