Transitioning into Healthy Eating Habits

I'm on my feet most of the day, so I'm constantly exercising with my busy schedule and don't really have time to eat as many calories as I would like to. Sad, but true. (It's only for this summer though, because of summer job, etc.) Once school starts up again, I know I'll be eating like a regular person does. I don't want to gain weight though.
So how do I bump up my caloric intake without gaining actual weight? Should I add 100 cal/week? I know it shouldn't be actual weight unless I'm consuming 3500+ cal, which I don't plan on doing. But still. Food/water weight, ugh.

This is just what I heard: (feel free to correct if I'm wrong!)
the most critical point is to increase your muscles, if you got more muscles, you can naturally burn more calories compared with those with less muscles even tho you just sit there eating. I guess you may just increase ur calories intake gradually, and do more weight training (to increase ur muscles) at the same time. BTW, muscles weigh more than fats, so don't worry much if you gain weight after doing tons of weight training, scales are always stupid lol
Hope this help0 -
Ahh, that actually makes sense. Thank you!0

I'm not sure of the exact science. However, you should be able to find a calorie calculator by searching the internet. There are several that will be able to tell you (approximately) what amount of calories to eat to maintain your weight.
I wish you well with what you're trying to accomplish. Eat sensibly and I believe you'll be fine throughout the school year, too.
