carbs/protein/sugar etc

does it matter if you go over by just a few grams of these every now and then?
ive taken peas out of my dinner plans because it made me go slightly over carbs.
but should it really matter that much?

  • Try and keep the carbs at or below the level you are shooting for. Protien is fine to go over. I keep my carbs at or below 20g a day, but I eat protien and veggie as I wish! I have had a lot of succes with this approach. But, it's whatever you feel comfortable with.

    If you are eating vegetables and go over in carbs, I wouldn't worry. If you are eating refined carbs and is consistently going over in calories, I would maybe think twice. I don't think anyone here, even low carb folk would say negative things to you if you are only getting carbs from veggies.

    I agree, the carbs your getting from veggies are good carbs. Pasta, rice etc not that great for you.

    Yeah, these things are more of a guideline, but you know what you are eating. Good carbs vs bad carbs. On this site, there is no good and bad, there are just carbs, so its up to you to keep track of which is which and know that it's ok if you go over from eating fruits and veggies!
