When to 'mix it up'?

I've heard lots of people talk about how your muscles 'get used' to certain workouts and how you need to mix it up for the greatest benefits. I've been doing the same weights in the gym for about 2-3 weeks. How long should I be doing the same weights/workouts before I need to change things?

Thanks!!

I've heard 4-6 weeks. Not sure but I'm going to keep changing mine just to be on the safe side!

This article (http://muscle-confusion.org/) seems to think it doesn't matter, as long as you are increasing the load on your muscles. That may be true, but like they say in the article, it certainly will stop you from being bored with your bodybuilding exercise program.

I think one of the best things you can do is work different groups of muscles at the same time, legs & back, arms & core, etc. Of course that's just my opinion.

This site has some info & opinions also.

Thank you all for your relies :)

Even if I'm doing the same exercises, I either try to up the weight or up the number of reps. Hope this is making a difference!
