How things have changed...

Today was my exercise rest day. I walked gently for a while but knew I needed to rest. A day spent what I now call "resting" would have been an average day for me just a few months ago. And a day doing some form of exercise would have been a rare, one-off thing.

But I ended up spending most of the day thinking.. "oooh, I wanna go swimming"....

I have been like that all week, I have been ill with sore throat and chest infection and I said to my other half today I feel quite depressed. Still not 100% but need to get back in the gym. Which is an odd feeling.

Sundays are my rest days, too. It's hard for me not to throw my sweats on and hop on the elliptical. I might not be able to resist. Good luck on your journey!! :flowerforyou:

It's funny what becomes your new norm. I feel SOOOOOO lazy when I don't do any exercise at all. I know I need to rest some days but it kills me.

When I eat on my no exercise days, I feel like I eat like a pig and will gain about 2lbs but I know I won't. Just feels like that.

Every second day for me is a rest day according to my weight training schedule. But on those rest days I still typically do at least a half hour of some kind of cardio, whether it be going for a walk, or playing Dance Central on the Kinect.

I do know what you mean about how rest days feel. Up until last fall rest days were every day to me. But because I have a sit down job, I gained so much weight and NEED to get that weight off to be what I used to be when I was happy with myself.
