My name is Betty, I've recently decided that it was time to do something about my weight. I bought a treadmill, got it home and set up. I mustered up the courage and actually got on it. I just about killed myself on the darn thing. It seemed to be going so fast and after just a few minutes I thought this might not have been such a good purchase. I can barely do a few minutes, it will most likely become just an expensive clothes rack. Then my mom came in and pointed out that it was set on run and nearly a full incline. We both got a laugh and walking was much easier my 2nd try.

Welcome! Just start off slow and eventually the treadmill won't be so bad0

Welcome! Eventually you might actually want to run! I never thought I would, but now I only like to walk between timed jogs!
Just do what's comfortable for you and I promise you'll get results. Walking/running is one of the best total body workouts.
