Hello from Delaware

My name is Shanae and I am on my way to a 50 pound loss. I am a single mom of three boys so cooking meals for them and still staying to the 1200 calorie intake will be my greatest challenge. Anyone who can help with ideas for filling meals I am all ears. I look forward to this! I recently lost the first 44 pounds between April 2010 and April 2011 and now I am looking to finish this goal in my life. It has been a life long battle (being overweight) and I want it to end now. I finally feel I am doing it for myself not for anyone else and that makes the difference! So with God in the lead here I go..............

Hello back from Delaware!
Delaware is nice in the respect that there are plenty of healthy grocery stores around. Trader Joe's up on 202, Newark Natural Foods in Newark, Harvest Market in Hockessin, Willey Farms down in Townsend . . . I find it so easy to buy great stuff, especially produce0 -
HI!!! This last December I pledge to lose 55 pounds! I started eating better but the thing that helped me was walking!!! I literally walking half my butt off!! I lost 35 pounds from Dec 28 until March 18 and I know I could not have done it without physical movement. Challenge yourself every week to go a little further. Good luck with your success!!!0

Thank you so much I am actually walking each day. I started at a mile and I am up to 4 miles a day. It takes me pushing myself. This week I started to add Abdominal Crunches to my morning 400 to begin to bring the belly into the program. I PRAY that this works. But I am new to Delaware and dont really have anyone doing this with me. So I am pushing alone at times but I want this so very badly. i love this site and I thank you for your words of encouragement! May I ask you I have issuses with hanging arms do you carry anything when you walk?0
