New and looking for Motivation

Hello All...I am a 46 year old Army retiree who is getting married in November of this year. I steadily gained about 30 lbs since my retirement from the Army in 2007. I was very active and never had to worry about weight gain before my retirement but after several knee surgeries and a foot surgery, it was relatively easy to get out of the routine I had. I have tried to reinstate my workout discipline, but quickly become discouraged when I don't see results. I did have a personal trainer from May through June, until she PCS'd. She motivated me and put a boot in my butt when I would try to quit...I didn't loose a lot of weight, but did loose some body fat - which is fine by me. I have always been a person who didn't pay much mind to the scale but judged weight loss or gain my how my clothing fit. Anyway, I am here looking for some motivation and guidance to help loose weight or bodyfat before November 11th. I am hoping to clean up my eating habits and devise an exercise routine that continually changes to keep things fresh. I hope throught this site I can meet new people and gain an insight to how to do thing differently but as a life change. Looking forward to getting to know some of you all.
