I'm looking to buy a new heart rate monitor but I'm not sure what to buy. I'm looking for one that tells me my pace, distance, and calories burned. I found a Garmin Forerunner 305 but I don't need the GPS feature. Can anyone recommend a good HRM that has these features?

Pace & distance for what? Running? Cycling? If you are running, you need a GPS or you will just get heart rate and time.

If you are on a bike, you can use a bike cyclocomputer without a GPS and get Speed, distance, pace, HR, etc. Polar makes a couple of models that are good. I have the CS600x and I like it a lot.. Polar also makes a watch that can be used with cycling or running or swimming or all three.

Personally, I am a big fan of Polar, and have been using Polar HRMs for a decade or so now.

I wanted a HRM for calorie's burned. I bought a Polar FT7 and it works great! I'm sure it does more but I'm only using it to track calories burned.

Mine is more for walking but I'm going to start running/jogging in September. I'd still like to measure how fast I walk and now I see how the GPS comes into play there. When I googled customer reviews for HRMs the POLAR brand was listed as one of the better ones so I'll check POLAR HRMs out. Thanks for the advice :)
