Ok so totally not fitness/diet related but.....

Do you have one of those friends who comes and goes? That sometimes you're the best of friends and talk all the time and then they disappear? Nothing you do/say/type helps they're just gone. Then one day they just reappear. They act like nothing has happened. They talk about what they're doing etc. Grrr drives me insane. I guess it's really nuts b/c this guy we will see in a couple of weeks when we go back to WI for a visit. It's just so frustrating for me b/c I get all invested in my friends and then when they suddenly leave I take it all personally.

Tell me I'm not alone or crazy......

Yeah I have one of those.. I decided I'm not even going to talk to her anymore..not a true friend
  • I know what you mean....I have tons of so called "friends" that only seem to appear when they are depressed and need someone who will listen.

You are not alone or crazy. I have been that kind of friend lately. Life has thrown me quite a few curve balls and I find it easier to deal with if I just withdraw from society, get my head back on straight and then come out of my shell again. This might not be the case for your friend, but just maybe, they have some personal problems and need some down time. I am attached at the hip to my cellphone, but back in April, I turned it off. Did not want to speak to, see or hear from anyone. I was really stressed and just needed some me time. The sound of the phone ringing was like fingers nails down a chalkboard. I'm doing a little better now, but I still don't answer every phone call.

The good news is....most of my friends understand the stress and strain that I am under and they know that if anything was REALLY wrong, a family member would let them know. I just need a break every now and then from reality. Hope this helps!

It's funny you posted this today...I am feeling very frustrated with a few friends right now. Why are they so much work? When we get together we have the best of times, our friendship is really strong, but I am the one chasing after them to get together! They never initiate a get together. I feel like I am pulling teeth to try to set something up, at times I just want to give up on them, but we are really great friends and I would hate to loose the friendship.
