I had previously asked you what I should do for my birthday... to throw caution to the wind this once or buckle down... THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED.

I woke up with a headache and promptIy took some Tylenol and didn't think anything about it, then I went to the Dr. prior to my parents showing up. They arrived and we went to lunch at an upscale Brewery restaurant on the ritzy West side. I took some medication the Dr. had given me before the food had arrived. Just as we were finishing with our meal I started not feeling well. (REALLY) not feeling well. As soon as I could mention this to everyone... I passed out. I came to and every one was concerned and they called the ambulance. I begged them to cancel it saying was fine just really tired. I got up to walk out to the car and next thing I knew I was being held in a chair at the next table and was soaking wet. Then the ambulance came which I refused. (who can afford that! and I was embarrased). They did take me to the urgent care at a local clinic where I spent most of my birthday renting my lunch and being fed Happy Birthday IV bags... THREE of them and that wasn't even hydrating me like they wanted. They said I was severely dehydrated, my white cell count was high, and they said I was just barely over the # of some test where they think I could be diabetic.:frown:

So... to sum it up! I didn't need to worry about my parents not noticing my weight loss due to not losing enough because me passing out kept them distracted enough not to notice and I didn't have to worry about pigging out because I didn't keep anything down.

They said I passed out because I was too dehydrated. I guess I have the working out thing down but not the hydration. I had been not making the 8 glasses a day goal but sheesh! They said once you get to a certain point of dehydration water won't work and it takes a long time to hydrate with just water alone.

They thought if would be good to come in and get the one test done again to see if I'm diabetic. They did do some test that will show the Dr what my blood sugar or ? has been for the last three months for her to get a better idea about that. But the test won't be done until Tomorrow.

Yikes, that's no good. Did they figure out the WBC issue? I hope you're not diabetic, but if anything is awry, we will all be here to support you.:flowerforyou:

wow talk about a crazy birthday, I hope that you are feeling better, If I were you I would let them run some tests on you, I have been having tests ran on me since April and still haven't figured out why I get these really bad vertigo spells and black out. I won't mess with your health. I would make sure that you do get enough water in your system and make sure you get enough rest.

    Keep us posted!!!!!!

I get bad vertigo/dizzy spells too. I have had them since highschool. My doctor told me I have slightly low blood pressure but that it wasn't a big deal. They have gotten less frequent but I still have them occaisionally. weird.
