I'm having a hard time reaching my calcium goal. I even take a multivitamin containing 50% of my calcium goal! Any suggestions are appreciated!

I take two Ultra Strength 1000 Tums everyday to get enough calcium.

become a vegetarian and your calcium goal cuts in half. the reason why we need so much calcium is due to all the access proteins we eat. If you cut back on your protein intake, you dont' need as much calcium. With that said, eating foods like spinach, tahini, calcium fortified orange juice, and soy milk are all good choices too. If you google calcium rich foods, you'll get tons of info there. Good luck.

I was having a hard time with meeting my calcium goals but then found cracker barrel 2% cheese sticks and very vanilla soy milk and now it's much easier to meet. Also, when i do my diary, I log in my plan for the day so that I at least have a better idea of what I should be eating. It changes all the time but at least there is a goal in mind.

3/4 cup of Fiber One 80 calorie cereal has an amazing 40% of your RDA calcium. Add skim milk to it and you're more than 1/2 way there.

I try to get 50% through food and the other 50% comes from a supplement.

String cheese is another good one.
