I need some snack idea`s that are higher in calories and low in sodium please suggest some. right now with my morning exercise I and my daily meal entered I have 737 cals remaining to eat plus I am going to the gym again tonight. I have VERY Little of my daily sodium left so I need to eat around 1000 calories more than is currently in my diary but don`t want a ton of sodium

Extra virgin olive oil. Cook with it, drizzle it over, whatever.0

Nuts are a good choice. They take up a little space in your tummy, but can be higher in calories for a good small snack/higher calorie option. JUst buy the raw almonds and walnuts and toast them yourself in the oven to eliminate the salt. Just takes about 5 minutes or so at 350. Just don't turn your back on them or you'll have charcoal! Or even better for you : don't toast them and eat them raw!0

What is your sodium set at? That is one area I don't have a problem with. Maybe your setting is off?0

Avacado, Dark Chocolate, Nuts, Rice, Potato, Fruit, Olive Oil. Don't forget your water!0

its set at 2500 per day
sodium is my weak spot and I know its due to some of the processed things I eat but if you see my diary from day one till now you can tell I`m getting better with my food its just a slow process.
I do have raw almonds here saddly no virgin olive in the house but will be looking for that when I go shopping next
please keep the ideas coming0 -
Potatoe has no sodium, and a very small one is 100calories, but if u got a big potatoe it could be 200 or more calories, depending on size.
Other than that, here's some other probably higher calorie items...1cup rice, about 200 calories, could have 2cups for 400calories and has no sodium. Beans, dried not canned, have no sodium and are really high calorie and very good for u, I think 1/2 a cup is 200calories... avacado... 100% natural juice, 1cup is over 120calories, no sodium, and could easily have a couple cups without stuffing ur face. .
Here's what'd I do...have dinner be black beans and rice...its a southern dish... no sodium, very high calorie.
Fruit is also high calorie if u choose the right fruit; a standard banana is over 100calories, a large pear or apple can be about 120calories, some veggies can be higher cal but usually contain bits of sodium where as fruit has none.
And nuts (unsalted) and olive oil, but remember..u can chop nuts and put in things, like rice that I mentioned, for a bit of texture.. there is also adams peanut butter, natural, and no salt added, that u can put on a high calorie banana, or apple; id suggest on celery, except celery has a lil bit of sodium in it.0 -
