[looks like my question got cut off] - "Just curious... any foods to eat or stay away from that promote belly fat/bloating"

While I notice more definition in my stomach... sometimes it feels extra bloated (especially if I eat a few carbs or dairy)
but then there are some days when my stomach looks drastically different and well toned. I know your weight fluctuates during the day.

But let's say you had a really important date (say Friday) and you wanted to look your best. Which foods should you avoid that may make you look a little bloated... and which foods should you eat.

I know there aren't really any miracle foods that get rid of belly fat fast.... but I'm sure certaint things have worked for some people.

I've read from Jillian Michaels when she only has a couple days to get ready and wants her stomach looking the best, it's low carb, more protein. Ditch processed food (which is high in sodium), and drink plenty of water. Eat lean proteins, lots of vegetables, and fruit. Just eat as clean as possible.

If there was a miracle for belly fat that actually worked -- no one would have any!

Personally I just try to eat lean meats, seafood, veggies, lots of protein and no processed sugar/refined carbs...
Of course no one is perfect and once a month I will kill someone to get at my chocolate!
And being the midwest, I would die without my dairy and cheese :)

    Good luck on Friday --

    There is no miracle food.
But higher carbs can cause belly bloating. Plus high sodium content can cause water retention.

^ This. Also, some people react differently to different types of veggies. You may find that broccoli and asparagus can make you bloat and gassy and you may do better with leafy greens. Just pay attention to you how your body reacts.

And congrats to you for having a nice stomach!

my 2 cents.....high carbs and sodium make me feel bloated and my tummy not so tight, stay away from both these the day before and the day of your date.
