Starting 12 week plan today

I am starting a 12 week health plan (on my own today) and trying to get it worked out so I can stay focused.
I have a Cardio plan worked out but want to add Strength Training to it for an every other day swap.
I need something that starts out slow and works up to a plan vigorous enough to keep me interested.
Anyone got any ideas? Or am I going about it all wrong to start with?
