Logging your exercise through out the day?

So confuse on how logging your exercises work!? In addition to my regular work out, I do a lot of walking through out the day that I like to log in as I complete it - a mile walk to work and then another mile back to the train station. It only seems to post my initial log ins...for my walk(s). But in the evening when I do my other work out...does it update it and repost?! I like to post it through out the day so I can see how it effects my caloric intake otherwise I suppose I could just post all my activity at night when I'm done. Just curious how everyone is doing this?

    If you walk a lot, I would simply change your profile to be lightly or moderately active. Then only log your actual cardio and/or strength training.

    mfp only posts exercise 1 x a day. i usually wait until i finished everything to post my exercise. the only problem is keeping track of the exercise calories because i don't want to end up with a bunch of leftover, when i could have been eating :laugh:
