Cr*ptastic Day....

So, I am having a really cr*ppy day. I woke up feeling off. Not sure why.
I am sure my mom would say it's the change in barometric pressure.
I miss my friends terribly and wish November were here so I could go home to them.
I don't feel like playing mommy today either. Sometimes I get frustrated that my daughter just up and left, leaving her precious baby behind for me to raise.
So, I decided to post a question. What is your positive that makes you keep going through the super sucky times?
Mine, my grand daughter. Yes, even though I get frustrated at having to raise a toddler I didn't plan on having at 40, she is my inspiration. I love to watch her move. She is infinitely flexible... oh how I wish I could get that way again. She is almost always smiling and happy, innocent beyond words. She trusts... wholly... in me, in the world, even in the dog. She is my inspiration for losing weight (so I can keep up with her), for doing yoga (damn that flexibility of hers), for waking up every day no matter how much like garbage I feel. She is smart and I love to see her absorb everything around her. New words every day, numbers, letters, body parts.... it is awesome to watch and I am thankful I get to watch it happen right before my eyes. Her hugs and kisses are the best sweet in the world.
So.... what's yours? Give me your inspiration, your positive, your smiles. I kinda need em today....
Now, even though it's my rest day, Ima go walk 4 miles to see if that doesn't pick my mood up a little and when I come back I wanna see some inspiration!!!
Thanks MFPers!

Hi,
How frustrating to raise a toddler once you thought that was all behind you.
What gets me through my "sticky" times? Doing something new. Is there a new park/ playground you can take your granddaughter to? A new frozen yogurt store for a treat? A new park for a new hiking trail? Alot of times that is all I need to get through a rough spot. in this heat, is there a museum you could go to together?
Oh, that and the phrase, "You will never regret working out." That gets me out of bed and working out 99% of the time in the morning.0 -
First of all, I'm sorry that you're having a horrible day!
Second, congrats on walking 4 miles on your off days!
Third, lately what has been keeping me positive is MFP! I feel like all my new friends on here have my back more than anyone else in my life. I've only been doing these things that keep me happy; MFP, homework, reading, and working out and lately I've been getting into cooking! (I'm 22, raised by a Dad and only have brothers... cooking is so new to me haha).
My future keeps me positive.0 -
The way my husband now looks at me like he loves the way I look. He can't keep his hands off me. It keeps me going and makes me want to continue everyday, just to see how much better it can get. To bad he is going to be gone for a month, but I will focus on my fitness extra hard and when he returns, I will get to see his wow expression. I hope I am not setting myself up for disappointment. lol0

OK, this may sound mean, but my biggest inspiration is revenge. From the catty comments in high school (and that was 30 years ago!) to more recent run-ins with family, I want to show them I can do it and to show them up. (I told you it was kind of mean!) But it gets my butt out of bed and exercising. It helps me say "no thank you" to the bites ("it's just a bite") I am offered. And when I am really feeling down, my imagination of the looks on their faces when I do succeed (notice the "when" not "if"!) can make me smile.
Good luck on your journey and enjoy your granddaughter.0 -

That is not mean at all. Sometimes peoples say mean and hurtful things. Things that can't be taken back and that hurt a person many times over. Your revenge is justifed. I also find that at times to be my inspiration. I have an aunt that always compares me to her beautiful daughter and consistantly makes me feel horrible. I can't wait to walk in that family get together in November for Thanksgiving with a nice body. That is my goal anyway.0 -
My family, especially my wife. She deserves to have her husband around so she can grow old with him. My kids, whose offspring deserve a grandfather who will spoil them to death. And for me...so I can prove I have the discipline to go the distance in this journey.0

I'm sorry you are having a bad day. Hopefully the 4 mile walk will get you out of this funk. I think you're fantastic with your commitment to good health. You really do so well!! Also, God bless you for taking care and giving such love to your grand-daughter. I'm sure she loves you very very much.
My inspiration is my husband and my health. I need to stay alive as long as I can so he won't be left alone. He's also in the process of losing weight.
I hope you feel better soon. Take good care. have a great workout! Love, Suze0 -
I'm sorry to hear about your day sometimes when that happens rather than fight it I just have to indulge in it and think about what's getting me down. That usually helps me figure out how to recover from it. When I'm missing my friends sometimes picking up the phone and talking to one lifts my spirits, or looking through pictures and remembering fun and crazy times.
Sometimes for inspiration I depend on my dogs, sound crazy because they're supposed to depend on me, but they always get me through. When I just don't have to motivation to get out and run or walk, knowing how happy it makes them always puts me in the mood and their wagging tails put the smile back on my face and the kick in my step.
Find something that you miss and find a way to get a piece of it ... even if it's long distance. If all else fails, you have an entire community her on MFP ready to do whatever we can to help :flowerforyou:0 -
Good health is my main motivation and goal, not only physical health, but mental, emotional and spiritual as well. I am blessed with an unusually strong will and am a self-motivated person as well, but I know that not everyone is. I like to be there for my family and friends, staying positive yet realistic, helping them reach their goals while striving toward my own. I like being the good example that those I love can look to. That helps keep me going strong.0

You guys are great! Thanks for the ideas, the support and the encouragement.
The four miles helped a bit. It's just another day... Tomorrow will be better and I'll get through today despite myself.
MFPers are the best!
I appreciate you all so much....0
