looking for hikes to do in or around Sacramento Ca

I am headed to Sacramento, Ca this Thursday for three days. and want to do a hike up there.
anyone know of any good 3-6 mile hikes there. or near the area?

are you looking to just hike around or like mountainous hiking? Folsom lake is a great area to hike but if you want to stay in SAC then Id walk hike the river...in the day time...the area around the river north of downtown/midtown (by 160) isnt the safest. but down by Howe and the college its much safer and nicer. theres a bike trail too thats a great hike along the river. Im from Sacramento originally so if you have any questions feel free to message me...i wasnt very active there but my employees and sister were so i've heard about all these great places lol. downtown is also a nice walk around. East sac is FANTASTIC! Mckinley park has a 1 mile trail around it and a nice duck pond. thats on h and mckinley.

im sorry its h and alhambra for mckinley park. if u want a nice cheaty bakery walk west (away from the freeway) on mckinley and you'll hit the queen of tarts.
