Hello,

I've just been given a ton of ginger! Very nice :) But aside from biscuits, cakes and the odd stir fry sauce I don't know how best to use it.

Can anyone offer any yummy recipes - sweet or savoury that I can use it in?

Thanks :)

one good place to look is on allrecipes.com they have an ingrediant indicator. Put what you want in it. Chicken is good with ginger along with pork, tofu, cabbage etc.

Asian Meatballs :) You can use a pound of lean ground beef instead of meat-substitute too. That's what I did. SO GOOD!

If it is root ginger I cut it into 2" chunks n freeze it if I have loads, you can grate it frozen and use it immediately !

slice it up and add hot water for ginger tea (strain out the ginger after several minutes)

    add it to green smoothies

sautee it with garlic (and maybe some soy sauce or liquid aminos and lime juice) and add it to just about anything - tofu, veggies, etc.

It's fresh root ginger. Think I'm gonna have a play with half of it and freeze the other half as suggested. Thanks x
