Truvia

I just purchased some Truvia sweetener at the store yesterday (with the intention of making a lower-calorie mojito type drink for an up-coming vacation) and was wondering how others felt about it. Is it supposed to be better than the artificial aspartame sweeteners since it's made from a plant? Is it as sweet/sweeter than sugar? What do you (personally) use it for?

And I know, everything in moderation! :-)

I use regular Stevia. I like it in yogurt and herbal tea. It has a little bit of a bitter aftertaste, so I find things that are a little tart or bitter naturally work well.
  • I love Truvia! I mostly use it in my coffee. You don't need a whole lot of it because 3/4 of a teaspoons sweetens like 1 teaspoon of sugar (If I remember that correctly... I know it says it on the jar!)
