Last week my sister had a party at her house and all 4 of my sisters were there. Today she posted some pictures from the party and when i saw them i looked sooo big. I have been working soooo hard and felt like i have come a long way this past month but when i saw those pictures, i wanted to cry. All my sisters are thin and i am the one who works my butt off and i am the big one. Just needing a little encouragement is all.....im super frustrated.

Sorry you're feeling down. But don't. Pictures, especially the candid ones, never show us in a great light while we're in the middle of working on things. You have probably come very, very far! You will be your own worst critic, so let the photos slide.

I know where you're coming from. I was feeling pretty good about my body after losing quite a bit, and braved wearing a ribbed black tank with pants thinking I looked svelte. I was horrified when I saw my SIL's pictures and I could see three big rolls in my midsection. I told myself I still have a LONG way to go. :/ But realistically, I feel much better than I did a few months ago. The looks will follow if I keep a positive, dedicated outlook.

And so you have to work harder than your sisters in order to become thin. Eh, so what? That should make your hard work more meaningful to you because you've earned it! :)

I can totally relate to you... When I see pictures of me I hate them! For me it's a motivation because I hate taking pictures, but would love to actually want to be in pictures one day... So don't give up! I have fallen off the wagon and gotten back on many times... But this time I'm staying on for good... You can too! :)

Keep them in mind and use them as progress pictures, inspiration to do even better. You're doing great so far. Keep it up!

Pictures are the worst! I know that I avoid cameras like the plague these days, but the time is coming when neither of us will need to do that :)

Focus on how well you're doing so far. 10lbs is a brilliant, brilliant achievement, and you should be really proud of yourself. Instead of focusing on those photos, think of the difference you're going to see in another 10lbs time. You can do this, and you've already proved that you can, so keep going! These changes you're making are for life, and soon, it won't even feel like you're working your butt off, exercising and eating well will be second nature to you, and just a part of who you are :)
  • That's OK you'll get there, remember 1 pound at a time that's as fast as it comes off. My sisters and I are trying are best, but sometimes we just can't eat a little bit. I track my calories all 7 days but I give myself one day a week to eat as much of what ever I want. If I didn't I'd cheat all the time, but knowing I can have that chocolate bar or ice cream on that one day makes it worth it. So hang in there.

Did you have the same hair style as you do in your profile pic? That would be reason enough for me to tell you that you look awesome!! Not only is the cut adorable, it brings out your face that does NOT look fat at all!

Use those pics as your "almost there" pics. You'll look at them one day soon and wonder who that woman is.

:flowerforyou: Keep up the great work!
