Eager for good advice and support

Hi, this is my second week. I have not weighed in this week yet but am aware that I am retaining water, probably due in part to menopause and duramine. I have lost 11 pounds so far so cant complain - however I have difficulty doing good cardio exercise because I am waiting for an arthoscopy and meantime have to stay able enough to work a 40 hour week as a busy ward nurse. I have trouble eating the amount of calories per day that fitness pal says i should take in. Basically I take in around 1800 a day. I take regular green teas as my antioxident intake and am loathe to take a diuretic as I feel this is false weight loss. Can anyone suggest a way for me to stay on a regular weight loss track without the exercise base for a while.
