Ok last week I attempted to walk to my public library. This is not something I would have even thought about a month ago. And last week when I tried it was 99* with a heat index of 108* out. I felt like a complete failure because I couldn't do it, and was very upset and irritable with myself.

Today I decided I wouldn't set myself up for failure, but I would begin walking when I knew I had "missed" the bus and just keep walking till the next bus caught up to me. I made it almost halfway, and could have gone farther but decided the bus was there. So I hopped on the bus, got to the library attempted to cool off, got what I wanted/needed and sat down and had my clementine. I decided heck let's see how far I could make it back before the bus "caught me" and I was literally about 4 blocks from where I caught it the first time, and was feeling great!

I could have gone farther both times, but the second time decided not to wait for the next bus because my transfer would expire and I didn't want to pay another bus fee. But honestly I think I may have been able to make it home. I know this isn't any major victory for some, but to me this is quite an accomplishment. Yes, I know the library is only about 3 miles each way, but for me to be able to get even halfway without needing a break, or breaking down makes me feel great.

Just wanted to share

Oh and next time I will plan it that I miss the bus as I'm walking so I have to walk farther before the next bus "catches me"bbb
