Just curious, I mean I do occasionally eat fruit or veggies for a whole day. Along with nuts and beans for protein of course.

one or two days a week, I like to make meals like that because it save a little $$$ on purchasing some meat, and two, it helps to get rid of a lot of produce that's getting ready to go bad in my house. My meals like that usually average around 200 calories each. But like you said, don't forget your proteins!!!

Eating a healthy vegan/vegetarian diet is a great way to lose weight. However, it has to be healthy. Eat nothing but Twinkies and you're eating "vegetarian." Eat nothing but potato chips and you're eathing "vegan." But recent studies show that people that avoid red meat don't gain as much weight as those that do.
