NSV from my 3 year old

So here is a bit of a back story. My body image has always been an issue. Even when I was younger my mother would say things to me like "your either pregnant or fat, which one is it" . I am 5'8" and back when I was 13 or 14 I wore Juniors clothing. between 9 to 11. My younger sister who is about 5'6" was a 2. I was always the fat child, even though I wasn't really fat or over weight. I was just bigger than my sister. So because of my upbringing with my mother, I make a point to never discuss weight around or with my children. I have 3 girls 6, 3, and 2. I make sure to tell them they are beautiful every day.
My hubby and I are doing Insanity together. We usually workout in the mornings while our girls are eating breakfast. They like to cheer us on and tell us that we can do it. They even bring water and hand towels to us to help.
I was sitting on the couch with my 3 year old reading a book. She was laying with me, like she usually does. She looks a me and says "You are less squishy, I think your workingout (what she calls it) is making you less squishy" She then went and got her pillow, laid it on me, then laid her head on it.
So according the my 3 year old, who is brutally honest, I am less squishy. I will take it!

love it ~ my 3 year old gave me the same compliment! LOL They ar brutally honest. I love it.
She used to leave daddy's lap for mine because I was more squishy..

LOL...I was in the same boat....My son told me and I quote.."that my butt wasnt as jiggly as it use to be" and the only thing I could say was that the elliptical was my friend...lol0

Compliments from kids are the best. They don't lie about that kind of stuff.
My fiance's little sister used to say i had a fat tummy and then the other day, she told me i looked skinny. Haha.

When my son was little and I would get dressed for the gym he would ask me if I was going to get my strong on.
My girls know when I get my workout clothes on, that we are going to be working out. they get out our water bottles and hand towels.0 -

Great example you are showing those lovely girls. I wish I was more informed about diet and exercise instead of just being scolded to eat everything on my plate!! After moving from home I thought I had to eat everything left on everyone else's plate. Gross but true!! Keep it up 0
