How does the food tracker work?

Hi All,

I'm new to the whole tracking food concept and am really surprised that the food tracker says I need to eat more. I am on a plan from my dr to eat six small meals a day and track what I eat. She also said to try to maintain 1,200 calories but it looks like with the physical activity I do..which trust me isn't much...the food tracker says I need to increase or my body will go into starvation mode. Anyone have any advise or insight as to what I should do?? I am so confused :(
