I am currently on week 5 day 2 of c25k and really enjoying it (despite the shin splints)
I am moving onto day 3 on Thursday of week 5 and I am a tad worried about the massive transition to running 20 minutes non-stop!
Just wondering for those who have completed c25k or past week 5 how that went for you?
It seems like a huge jump! Were you successful or did you have to repeat any days?

I've never done the C25k, but I can run for 20 minutes.....just take it SLOW....find a pace...you should be able to maintain a conversation with little strain....go slower than you think you should go...and keep on running!0

It actually went much easier than i expected, i'm sure you'll be ok
It was easier than the jump from week 4 to 5
I agree with Joe be prepared to slow down a little and you'll get through it0 -

I do it 3 times a week as much as possible. Sometimes I miss a few days, but then I tend to catch up by redoing the last run.
I really enjoy it and it works really well for me!
Good luck!0 -

Hi
Im on week 4 Day 2 (doing it today), Im also a bit worried about week 5, but then I was worried about week 4 and it went ok! Let me know how it goes.x0 -
i am soooo close to the end (week 9/day 3 will be as soon as i can time a free moment with cooler temps) and i am amazed wtih this program!
i have NEVER run in my life...i mean, when i have tried it's just too much for an overweight person to handle (for me anyway). i decided i am in the best shape i've ever been in and decided to give it a shot...even running for a minute at a time was hard when i started (yet somehow i'm now running 30 minutes at a time...jogging really, i'm rather slow)!!!
but this program progresses in a way that somehow, it works!! i was the same when i reached the 20 minute running point. i said to hubby 'how am i ever going to do that!!!??' but somehow, i did. whoever developed this program knew what they were doing, b/c you start running...and for me i had to NOT think about how long i was running. i thought about anything else (esp breathing!) but just ran until i thought 20 minutes might be close (i don't have the iphone app). and somehow i did it. and it is amazing when you look down and BAM you just ran 20 minutes!!
so don't be overwhelmed ...you can do it!!
good luck!0 -

good advice! my 30 minute run is still shy of 3 miles...it's about 2.75.0 -

I can't run a 10 minute mile yet (and be consistent). I can get the first couple miles in at about 10:15 each, but slow down a bit after that. I've only been running since May, but have been able to run a 10k at around a 12min mile pace for the entire race. I usually run 5-6 miles two days a week, but it's increasing as I'm training for a 1/2 Marathon in October.0
