Running everyday?

Hello my fitness pals do any of you run everyday and find recovering OK?

I basically do 30 min runs and usually takes a couple of days for my aches to go away. I was thinking of just running everyday even if slightly aching as I think one time it got rid of the recovery ache I get.

I know it sounds wrong like I'm running before my muscles have recovered but I'm not sure if they just need a god stretch to get them back?

EDIT: *good stretch I dont want to know what a God stretch is sounds tough

I run a lot and exercise nearly everyday and I am used to constantly aching now. It doesn't hurt though. Do you hurt?

I run six days a week typically. 3 miles or 30 minutes a day with 1 or 2 days being 4-6 miles, then the rest day.

Sometimes I get a little sore or have an ache here or there but I typically just go ahead and run that day. Its kind of like strength training where while you are doing the exercise you don't feel the soreness or aches and pains its when you are done or not doing it that you can feel it.

Make sure you are stretching properly before and after your runs. Also, try stretching before bed at night, this really helps.

For leg cramps and aches try eating more potassium, such as eating a banana a day or something.

I am SO glad you posted this! I am sitting here thinking, do I run today or not? I have been making an attempt at running 5 days a week about 3.3 miles each day, and yes, my legs have an ache, but you know what? It's an ache that makes me feel like I am getting more fit. Stretching is a huge necessity both before and after. I was "caught" the other day on the stairs by an upstairs neighbor as I was working on my calves using the steps. Anyway, I'd suggest stretching and sticking to it unless it's a jarring pain.

    Hope this helps!

I run nearly every day - I think if you're doing some high-intensity running, like hill sprints or running more than 6-7 miles per session you might need a rest day. But doing a relatively smooth 30 minute run every day should not cause you any problems at all, unless of course you feel you've injured yourself or something.

I find that when I'm sore from my strength training workouts that running, though a little stiff at first, actually seems to loosen up all the tightness in other places of my body.

I run 6 days a week. 5 days 30 to 45 minutes then 1 60 minute run. I am always sore but it feels good!

I run 4 days a week & I run when I am sore. Usually the soreness goes away once I get going.

Thanks for the advice everyone it's good to see most people run through the ache then! I basically want to do exactly as you 27strange which I'm doing currently but with couple of days between!
Oh hyperkate i wouldn't say it hurts it's kind of satisfying ache in a way ! kgagnon7779 i think that's what i'll be going by as it's mainly 4-4 miles although quite alot of hills.

I went for a run last night and there's a slight ache coming on so I'm just goiing to do another tonight and see how it goes i will report back !
