Men, for waist and hip measurements, where exactly are you supposed to measure? At the navel? Above? Below? And the hips?

The waist is between your ribs and hips. Your hips is the waistband of trousers (So called waist band because when it was named it actually went up to your waist)0

where ever you measure find a landmark (freckle etc) so you make sure you are always measuring at the same spot!0

I know when I used to have to measure the guys in our unit on weigh in day, I was always told to measure at the belly button for guys, and at the naturally slimmest place on females (usually above the belly button)
but like the poster above said... any landmark... freckle, scar, etc
good luck
