Is there such a thing as too much fibre?

I've always heard how good fibre was good for your body, but everyday I'm going way overboard with it, according to my food diary. I know you shouldn't go over carbs, sugar, sodium etc, but what about fibre? Is there a limit?

IMO, the fiber recommendation on MFP is way too low! For women, at least 20 - 30g per day, and for men, 30 -40g. Those are just ranges...depends some on age & lifestyle, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Always consult a physician. But the default on MFP is way too low. You can adjust the settings for your diary to reflect a higher intake of fiber--that's what I did.
Anyone looking to increase their fiber intake should do so gradually...otherwise you may have stomach cramps.0 -
