Beating myself up for losing control during office lunch!

It's not a success story, but I could use a little love from my MFPers....
I was being SO SO GOOD today. And then we had an office lunch after a long meeting. I was so so hungry and I just made bad choices and ate WAYY more than I should've and now I'm just disgusted with myself.
Sorry, just venting, I guess.

Don't beat yourself up. We all do it. It is life, it happens. Now get back on the horse and make a better choice for dinner. Tomorrow is a new day and you learn from the mistake. None of us will be perfect every day. No worries, you got this.0

I've heard that sometimes "cheat days" or rare binges can actually make your metabolism burn more, helping you to lose a quick pound or two! Hope that's how it works for you this time!0

I did the exact same thing two days ago and have felt guilty ever since. I just keep reminding myself that I have no choice but to take this diet one meal at a time. I really want to lose the weight and remind myself that everytime I want to eat over my calorie goal, I remember how bad I felt after eating all the junk. We can do this!!!!!!!0

You will be FINE!!! Know what you mean about those office lunches though! I use my wheat allergy as an excuse not to attend - works wonders!0

If I can do a bad WEEKEND and get back on the wagon - you can do a bad lunch and get back on.
Feel bad for a sec - then turn it around and move on.
You are already doing better than the people who have been told about this site and logged on once only to find that they were too busy or could not stand the truth about what they were putting in their mouths and never logged on again.0 -

Happens to the best of us. You have all day to recover.... and tomorrow.... and the next day.... and you get my point...0 -

Beating yourself up is just another way that we make unhealthy choices...Some of us eat out of emotion. So don't get caught up in that circle. And I personally stopped using the work DIET! UGH...think about what you want to accomplish. I eat better, and try hard to take care of myself..therefore it's a new lifestyle (it sounds permanent doesn't it?) Diets are temporary....Be forgiving and love who you are...no one is perfect...just move on and know that for a few minutes you were just a little careless. it's all good girl!!!!!!!0
