Pop chips are pretty good
BBQ and Sour Cream and Onion .. yummm0 -
I like Lay's Light chips. I'm not a "clean eater" so the Olestra thing doesn't bother me and I don't get any kind of tummy problems from them either. You can have around 20 chips for 0 fat and 70 calories. I think they are yummy!!!
Yeah these are good too. Never seem to find them in my local grocery store. But I have had them and they are yummy.0 -
I just tried Pop Chips for the first time a couple weeks ago. Oh.My.God. So little calories and all of the crunchy salty potatoey goodness that I love in chips.0
-
I never heard of pop chips? Are they available in the south? What's the brand name? I just eat Cape Cod 40% reduced fat kettle chips. 23 chips are 140 calories, and they are, well, Potato Chips!0

I also LOVE the Special K Cracker Chips.. Sour Cream and Onion!!0

I just made some kale chips for the first time and they pretty darn good. I tore the leaves from the stem (don't use the stems) and laid them on a baking sheet. Spray them with non stick cooking spray and then I sprinkled mine with sea salt, pepper, and a bit of garlic powder. Bake at 350 for 5-7 minutes. They are unique, but I find them pretty darn good!0

I have the same fight with potato chips. They are so good. I decided not to give them up, just eat a smaller portion. I buy the 1 oz size bags and eat 2 bags a week, but only after I exercise. I find that I crave them less when I'm exhausted and enjoying them. That method has worked for me since April 2011. Completely eliminating something I love doesn't work for me, learning to control how much and when I eat it does. I hope you're able to find something that works for you equally as well.0

Veggie chips made with Sea salt...DELICIOUS0

I get pop chips. They are just as tasty as potato chips but with less bad stuff
I also get veggie chips at the natural food market. Salty, tasty and veggies instead of starch.

Kale chips. They're super delicious, easy to make, and you can control what goes into them when you make them.0

Pop chips are pretty good
YES! pop chips in BBQ, salt and vinegar and sour cream & onion are the best!!!0 -
I just discovered these AMAZING potato chips that are only 75 calories for about 20 chips.... They are "LAYS LIGHT POTATO CHIPS". They taste pretty good actually. I find that 20 chips is a lot. When I eat a sandwhich 10 chips seems to do the trick and it is only 37.5 calories!!!! I invested in a few bags for home in case I can't find them again LOL Good Luck and I hope this helps you!0
-
Popcorn, cheecha snacks, even baked chips are okay. Tortilla's are not all that bad, pretzels, roasted chickpeas.0

we still eat chips.. just maybe once every couple of weeks.. bc nothing can replace a chip.. but i actually like baked chips much better.. we're having sammies tonight.. so i'm pretty sure we'll be having some baked lays!! or kettle chips!0
-
I just got a massive bag of veggie straws (they also make veggie chips) lightly salted at Costco. 1 ounce (38 straws) is 130 calories.0

Kale chips or seaweed chips0

I don't know if they are available in the south (I am in CT) but I see them at the regular grocery store, Whole Foods, warehouse stores (like Costco/BJs), etc. Here is the link to the brand: http://www.popchips.com/
They are all natural, and instead of being fried or baked, somehow heat is used to "pop" them. They are really good and super low cal for chips.0 -
Creative Snacks Co. makes awsome oragnic dehydrated veggie chips lightly salted w/ sea salt. I like the green beans, and the sweet potato/taro blend mmm. Even my chip-freak Husband said he'd rather eat those than normal chips, WAY more flavor! Organic Kale chips are delicious as well.0
-
I haven't read all responses, so sorry if this is a repeat!
- pickles
- Wasa crackers (not salty, but crunchy and great with salsa or hummus!)
- airpopped popcorn0 -
If I want chips, I want chips so the portion control bags work for me. Everyone is different so if chips are a trigger food then another option besides chips would work for you but if I'm craving something, I can eat a million "substitues" and still want what I was craving so this is the smart choice for me.0
-
Not really crunchy or salty, but if you slice potatoes (or sweet potatoes) thin (1/4" or thinner), and sprinkle them with Mrs. Dash, a spritz of PAM cooking spray and bake them, they're delicious, without the fat or sodium of fries or chips.0

Just went shopping today, and after some advice from here I bought a bag of the lays light chips. Was really surprised to see it really is like half the calories of the regular chips..
Yes half the calories and double the price at least compared to when lays are on sale here >< And the bag is smaller I'm sure.. I went by once saw the price and put them back, walked back around like a half hour later (yes half hour in the store extra walking extra exercising is how I see it I make excuses to go to the store haha) and decided to just go for it :P Haven't tried them yet but We'll see.
Wanted to try kale chips for awhile, but to me they just look so gross ^_^ Wonder if they're really as good as everyone says they are hehe.0 -
Can't seem to fight the need for salty and crunchy!
Unless you're wanting to 'snack' like a kid? then bugles.0 -
Sugar snap peas dipped in red pepper hummus0
