I currently am taking One A Day Women's Active Metabolism and i do love it (though if you take it, take it with food.) I had to go to the doctor actually I saw the PA, who might i add is an IDIOT! Problem is i am severely anemic and 'specially around TOM so the PA said to take a prenatel instead 'cause of all the extra goodies including a ton of iron.

Any ideas on a good brand?

I take the meijer brand prenatal vitamins (I am not pregnant, but do tend to have low iron). I have not had issues with that and it is pretty cheap. You can also take 2 flintstones complete vitamins a day for just about the same percentages as prenatal vitamins.

Prenatal's are very good for you. Because they add all the extra vitamins to mom and baby. I only take a vitamin when I am pregnant... I suck like that. I need to get a multi.

Anyways; when I get a Prenatal I make sure its one that is 1 pill a day. I also like to get a BIG bottle that doesn't cost a ton. GNC has a bunch I've used, but I don't recall the name. Some of the pills require you to take 2 a day which is a BOOOO IMO. If you need iron it will say if it has it on the bottle.

My wife and I take a vitamin supplement from doTerra. We get it at a great discount and love the effects from it. Not sure on a prenatal but I know ours has lots of iron in it.

Don't take iron with calcium.... you're better off taking your iron supplement with vitamin c at least 2 hour from any calcium for best absorption. If you are very anemic, you're not going to correct it with a little amount of iron included in a multis.

Pro-Ferrin is pretty easy on the stomach if iron bothers you. I personally take a chewable iron that includes vitamin c and tastes yummy but its not cheap.

Increasing your iron can cause constipation too so just be aware if you notice that happening.

I take vitamins I get from either HSN or directly from Procap laboratories. They're in a capsule form and I take several of this companies products and like them. They have products geared toward certain issues you may have - worth checking out.

    procaplabs.com or hsn.com

    Ditto.

I have to take calcium because I'm on Depo and I take it after lunch, I take my multi in the morning with breakfast, and a slow release iron at night with either a glass of OJ or some berries to help it absorb.

I think GNC has a great selection for men and women, and now dogs too. Their multivitamins are one of the few time released vitamins out there.

Don't buy GNC. They don't have anything that you can't get cheaper somewhere else.
