Day 1 - 5'6" and 148lbs.

Hey There,
I'm 5'6" and 148lbs. I realise this isn't too unhealthy but I don't feel comfortable and having just started a new relationship would like to get down to what I felt great at which is 125lbs. He'd like to take me to Gran Canaria and the thought of putting my bikini on in front of his family fills me with dread. He loves my body as it is but I'd like to do this for myself. Would love a buddy I who could share, exercise tips and recipes with and have someone to push me when I'm feeling low. I tend to eat too much when I'm down or bored and the first thing I go for is stodgy salty carbs. Anyone out there is welcome to get in contact. Would love to be there for someone too.

I'm also 5'6" and am just a bit heavier at 150 lbs (give or take a couple depending on the day). I like the shape of my body and am confident, but I know I'd look better and feel more comfortable in clothes if I were 15 pounds lighter. My goal is 134 lbs. The problem is that whenever I hit the mid 140's I start feeling really great about myself and I lose momentum / willpower.
I work out regularly, but I drink too much (which often leads to eating too much). I eat out a LOT not only for work but for social purposes; I go out to eat/drink with friends several times a week rather than doing a lot of concerts or other activities. So to get thin I end up having to just say no to happy hours and dinners out - which feels like punishment even though I enjoy going to the gym and cooking at home.
So my challenge is to balance going out and being social with eating/drinking in moderation. Unfortunately I am just not one of those girls who can - or wants to - sit demurely and sip water when others are sipping margaritas and eating chips and salsa!0 -
