NSV - Staff Meeting

Well I made it. The first staff meeting in a long time where I chose my own healthy lunch over having a meal the company provided (normally it's what I have ordered since I handle the events). It's funny to think of the excuses I used that made it OK for me to pig out on that food. Usually the first excuse was that it was free so it was allowing me to save the 5 - 10 I would normally spend on lunch. Today I chose my turkey sandwich over having chicken scampi, pesto, and lasagna. Oh and there were cookies but I was able to restrain myself and eat my yogurt. I just know this will be worth it in the end!

Now I have a mexican happy hour later tonight to prepare for. No drinks that's for sure because I really don't even care for drinking but do it for the social aspect. I need to do some research to see what I can eat. Something light and small because I would like to go to the gym after. Any suggestions?

You could have a taco salad, with salsa instead of dressing, just don't eat the shell if it comes in one, it'd deep fried!

First off, good for you on the staff meeting! Those are so hard, and people look at you like 'why are you not eating??' As for the Mexican, you can do fajitas and ask them not to use oil. Also, chicken soft tacos aren't too bad. You could always ask for something that isn't on the menu as well, like a grilled chicken breast and some shredded lettuce/tomato.

When I go to Mexican I usually get chicken fajitas and only eat the chicken and vegetables.

Great ideas. I only ever order fajitas or quesadilla so I think I may go the fajita wrap and only eat the veggies and chicken! Glad I can still have what I am used to but a variation of it! :)

Now I will just have to stay away from the chips! :)

This just seems so realstic that I love it! and the support from the members is so encouraging :)
