I saw this in this months Self and wonder if anyone has tried it? The concept is based on doing many reps with very low weight dumbells. Supposedly Madonna and Gwenyth P swear by it.

Many reps (as in 100) with low weight dumbells. Might cause an overuse injury. Part of the reason she says to use low weights with high repititions is to prevent women from bulking up. Women are not genetically designed to bulk up. Lifting heavier weights to fatigue your muscles will tone your muscles, not make them ginormous. On the other hand, I do lifting class, where we do lighter weights for more reps, (but not 100) to work different muscle groups, each group for the time it takes to get through a song, Then again, we're not doing the same move over and over for the whole song, different moves, same muscle group. Sorry if this rambles, I'm getting tired.0
