The Dreaded Plateau... or is it?

So, I've been at this whole weight loss adventure thing for about 9 months now and I've lost 74 pounds. They seemed like they came off pretty easily. I was consistently losing 2-5lbs a week for a long time. My doctor warned me the more that came off, the harder it would be, as I would no longer have my extra weight helping me burn calories. So here I am, 9 months later, stuck between 208 and 211, bouncing back and forth between the two weights for the last month. And with Onederland ever so close, it's crazy frustrating. But lately, I have been a lot less aggressive in the workout department. The drive is gone. And I've been having a LOT of food cravings. This is all frustrating. I wouldn't say the drive to get this done is really gone, it just feels like it took some sort of vacation. I just haven't been feeling it lately. I know it will come back. I've worked so hard for so long to just give up now. What I'd really like is some motivational thoughts or similar stories from those of you out there who went through the same thing. Tell me how you got out of your funk and what happened when you did. What inspired you to turn it back on and crank up your game?

Oh yeah! I didn't have as much to lose, but I lost 28 lbs quickly and "easily" - as easy as busting my *kitten* and cutting bad foods can be! Then work got busy, I got tired, the cravings kicked in, etc etc. I tried to stay on track - I really did - I just didn't quite have that same "umph" anymore. That lasted for 3-4 months. I gained a little back - 5-8 lbs, depending on the week. What finally kicked me back into gear? I made myself sign up for a mini trialthlon with my friend's husband. I still have about 3 pounds to get back to my lowest, but the weight's starting to come off again. The frustrating thing is looking at my other MFPals that were right around the same as me when I got off track. Many of them have now lost around 50 pounds, while I'm still in the low 20s. There's so much weight I could have lost, had I stayed focused.
There's my 2 cents worth, and then some!0
